Accommodation Policy
The Model Policy and Procedure is based on cutting edge models from around the country, including models from the Canadian Human Rights Commission and BC Law Society, and a template that that you can modify for your own workplace. Note that the Model Policy and Procedure applies not just to religious beliefs, but disabilities, family circumstances and other characteristics requiring reasonable accommodations under human rights laws. Note that the definition of “discrimination” in Section 3 is based on human rights laws of BC and may have to be modified to meet the laws of your province.
