May 19: That’s the deadline to submit comments to the Superintendent’s proposed guidelines on rules allowing plans to stop active members from accruing benefits without terminating or winding up the plan. Interpretive Guidelines #11 set out the criteria the Superintendent will use in deciding whether to approve such suspensions of benefits accruals. Other Superintendent guidelines proposed in March for 60-day comments:
