Anti-Racism Vision Statement

The murder of George Floyd is a tragic reminder that society’s war against racism and racial injustice has not been won. For decades, human rights commissions across Canada have called on organizations to issue a clear, concrete statements expressing management’s commitment to root out racism and discrimination, starting in their own workplace. The Model Anti-Racism “Vision Statement” below is based on a form developed by the Ontario Human Rights Commission, which can be adapted as either a standalone or the introduction to a broader organizational anti-discrimination and harassment policy.
