The Territories celebrated the 50th anniversary of its apprenticeship training and certification programs. The anniversary was commemorated with awards presentations during Skilled Trades and Technology Week in early November. Efforts to support the territories’ labour market continue with this years’ signing of three labour market agreements between NWT and the federal government: The new Canada-Northwest Territories Job Fund Agreement, renewed Targeted Initiative for Older Workers Agreement and the new Labour Market Agreement for Persons with Disabilities.
