A judge ordered Suncor to temporarily stop its new random drug testing program for oil sands workers in northern Alberta until an arbitrator reviews if it’s legal. The ruling doesn’t affect Suncor’s program of testing employees after safety incidents occur [Communications, Energy & Paperworkers Union, Local 707 v. Suncor Energy,  A.J. No. 1050, Oct. 22, 2012].
