We are terminating an employee in BC effective June 30, 2021. We will give him 9 months notice period as per his employment agreement. Do we have to extend his car allowance and phone allowance for 9 months as well?
Phone and car allowances aren’t ESA benefits a la vacation, stat holiday pay, etc. As a result, the employee’s entitlements all depend on what his or her employment agreement says.
