    Are private employers in Alberta legally able to defer a stat holiday? (i.e. in lieu of the stat holiday Remembrance Day on Monday, November 11, 2019, we would provide an extra day off at Christmas time 2019).

    Yes you can. And the Xmas day off arrangement would work just fine. Hope that helps and sorry you had to wait a whole 4 days for such a simple answer. Glenn
