Temperature Screening & Paying Employees If Sent Home – ON
Ask the ExpertTemperature Screening & Paying Employees If Sent Home – ON
Conner Lantz asked 4 years ago
Hello, We will be implementing temperature screening soon at my workplace and in the event an employee's temperature is above 99.4 F, they will be sent home. My question is our we obligated to pay the employee for the day if we have to send them home? Are we obligated to pay the Reporting Pay (3 hours) or is it on the employee to use their own paid time to be paid for the day? We are federally regulated so Canada Labour Code applies.
