Total Workers' Compensation Claims Increased 3% in 2014

Total workers’ comp claims increased 3% in 2014 to 1,841, as compared to 1,788 in 2013. Other key 2014 work injury statistics from the new WCB 2014 Annual Report:

• Fatality claims: 1
• Time loss claims: 918, up 5.8% from 2013
• Average claim duration increased 11.5%, from 32.56 days to 36.29 days.
