Highlights of a new actuarial study analyzing CPP mortality, disability and retirement rates over the past two decades:

  • Life expectancy at age 65 for retirement beneficiaries up 2.5 years to 20.5 years
  • Beneficiaries with higher pensions experience higher mortality gains
  • Survivor beneficiaries have higher mortality rates than general population
  • Disability beneficiaries also have higher mortality rates that vary depending on disability.
