Sick Days: 7 days.

Vacation: Entitled to 2 weeks of vacation after each of the first 14 years of employment and must be paid at least 4% of vacationable earnings.

Entitled to 3 weeks of vacation after 15 consecutive years of employment and paid at least 6% of vacationable earnings.

Statutory Holidays: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Canada Day, Labour Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day.

 

COMPENSATION

Minimum Wage: $15.00 per hour

Overtime Pay: 1.5 times the employees wage.

Overtime Hours: Weekly Overtime – All hours worked over 40 hours in a week.

Statutory Holiday Pay:

(If worked): 2 times daily wages or alternate day with pay, or credit annual vacation.

(If not worked): Regular wages.

WORKERS’ COMP

Average Workers’ Comp Assessment Rate 2024: $2.65 per $100

Maximum Assessable/Insurable Earnings 2024: $72,500
