Keep Workers Safe During Winter Driving

A new employer toolkit is available to help employers keep their workers safe during winter driving. The toolkit addresses steps to take before, during and after winter to improve driver safety. The resource is available on the Shift into Winter website. On a related note, new distracted driving penalties took effect in October. Three penalty points can be issued, plus a $167 fine, for talking, holding or dialing a cell phone, operating a hand-held audio player or programming a GPS while driving.
