Feb. 28: That’s the deadline to let the WSCC know what you think of the changes it’s proposing to Nunavut/Northwest Territories OHS laws. Key changes include:
- Expand current worksite smoking ban to e cigarettes and vaporizers
- Extend current rule requiring employers to keep training records to cover all workers
- Specify that supervisors must ensure workers that workers comply with their general duty to work safely
- Clearer rules for safe control of aerial devices and elevating work platforms when they’re not being used.
