How Penalties Will Be Assessed for Temporary Foreign Worker Violations

Starting December 1, 2015, employers face stiffer penalties for Temporary Foreign Workers Program violations, including longer bans on eligibility and money fines. Administrative Monetary Penalties for particular offences will be dished out according to a points system that measures:

• The size of the employer
• The nature of the violation
• The severity of the violation
• Previous TPFW violations by the employer
