Currently there are no laws that require employers to reimburse Internet expenses for their remote workers. However, many companies do provide some coverage for their remote workers’ Internet access. If Internet is crucial to the job it may be reasonable to have some portion of remote worker’s Internet expenses covered and employer’s should be cautious of the ESA prohibition on requiring employees to fund business costs.
