I don’t believe so insofar as ESC doesn’t require paid LTD or STD or dental coverage. However, you do need to check that the new coverage limitations don’t violate any of your obligations under:

  • A collective agreement with the affected employees;
  • An individual employment contract with any of the affected employees; or
  • The terms of the actual plans.
