Flu Preparedness Checklist

Primary Source

Although it talks about H1N1, it applies to any kind of pandemic as well as to seasonal flu.

Benefits

The threat of pandemic has reared its ugly head in Canada twice in the past few years. In 2007, it was avian influenza; in 2010, the fear was H1N1. And the 2013 flu season is also looking quite severe. Next year or the year after, it’s bound to be something else. The fact of the matter is that infectious illness, be it SARS or swine flu, has become a recognized hazard—and one that can decimate your business. It has now become incumbent on organizations to prepare for disruptions and institute plans to maintain operations in the event of pandemic. As an HR Manager, you should play a significant role in pandemic planning at your organization. This Checklist sets out a planning framework you can use to meet the challenge.
