In 2007, the threat was avian influenza; in 2010, the fear was H1N1. 2019 started a years long battle with COVID-19 that changed the way we view infectious illnesses, public health, and disease control. The fact of the matter is that infectious illness, be it SARS or swine flu, has become a recognized hazard—and one that can decimate your business. It has now become incumbent on organizations to prepare for disruptions and institute plans to maintain operations in the event of pandemic.
