Sick Leave and Sick Pay

Hello Experts, 

The Jurisdiction I am located in is Alberta. As Sick Leave or Sick Pay is not legislated in most jurisdiction, we currently do not have any written policy on the subject. 

However, we are now considering having paid sick days for salaried employees only. In the case of hourly employees – a no work no pay is currently being observed. Is this in contravention of any legislation if we only consider sick pay for salaried employees?
