Investigation – Is employee entitled to copy
Ask the ExpertInvestigation – Is employee entitled to copy

Hello,  I am in Alberta. We have a recent employee who was terminated (without cause...we provided pay in lieu of notice) because our client informed us they were no longer welcome on site. The employee says they are entitled to a copy of the investigation...do we need to provide them with this? Again, they were let go without cause and received pay in lieu of notice.    Thanks!

This is one for which you really need legal counsel. What I can advise you is to check the terms of the contract, HR policy re: investigations and the release agreement address this issue in any way.
