I work for an organization that falls under the Canada Labour Code and cannot find specific information on the termination of a casual employee. Is notice required?

There is not a regulatory requirement for notice of termination for a casual employee under the Canada Labour Code, nor in any of the Provincial codes. But the absence of a regulatory requirement does not mean that you shouldn't give that employee as much notice as is possible.

Thank you for confirming that there is no regulatory requirement for notice of termination for a casual employee as I could not find anything. I totally agree that there is still the need to do the right thing.
