Now OSFI has issued a Guidance Note for PRPP administrators explaining what the default option should look like and how it should be monitored and communicated to plan members.
Oct. 1: Ready or not, federal OHS inspectors will be making the rounds to check whether employers are complying with new GHS chemical safety requirements under WHMIS. Although the official compliance deadline is Dec. 1, 2018, you can still get fined if you can’t document that:
- Your employees have received the appropriate GHS education and training
- Your WHMIS labels meet either current or GHS standards
- You have either an MSDS or newfangled SDS for each controlled product in your workplace.
