Alberta Introduces a 2-year Freeze on Salaries of Management and Non-Union Employees

Alberta imposed a 2-year freeze on salaries of management and non-union employees of provincial agencies, boards and commissions. Similar freezes for Alberta Public Service employees, as well as cabinet members, MLAs and political staffers took effect in January and October, respectively

On a related note, a new law (the Public Sector Compensation Transparency Act) requires public disclosure of government executive employment contracts and severance agreements by June 30, 2016.
