Federal Government Expands Gas Tax Fund in Nunavut

The federal government announced that it will extend the Gas Tax Fund four more years through 2014 and double annual payments from $7.5 to $15 million, beginning this April. The federal Gas Tax Fund provides money to communities in the territory to support environmentally sustainable water, wastewater and solid waste infrastructure development projects.
